Big Chill Bar

The Big Chill bar is easygoing and upbeat in equal measure.

Situated just off of the vibrant Brick Lane, it’s surrounded by independent boutiques, galleries, delis and second hand shops.

The bar is a welcoming den that has always offered great food and even better music. The vibe is relaxed with laidback seating and long tables for communal eating and drinking.

Its reputation precedes it as a lively, friendly place perfect for taking in the summer sun and taking on the night ahead.

Awana

Awana is one of the few South-East Asian restaurants offering a fine-dining experience.

Chef’s Mark Read and Malaysian-born Lee Chin Soon aim to take guests on a culinary journey with both traditional and modern dishes reflecting the depth and diversity of South-East Asian cooking.

Come down for their ‘must-try’ Chilli crab and other delicious dishes such as cuttlefish in black bean sauce and vegetable chabeehoon.

DJs

August 22nd

The Cosmic Truth Presents...

Ashley Beedle

Ashley Beedle; a man who's put his had to some of the finest dance records made in the last two decades, DJ'd across the globe, compiled selections of music that would make your jaw drop, and had a genuine, credible influence on the UK dance scene as we know it today. Whether you know him from his work as Black Science Orchestra, Ballistic Brothers, X-Press 2, or his graft as a remixer, selector and deejay, this one is not to be missed. Heavy Disco from the original rude boy!

Danielle Moore (Crazy P)

Miss Danielle Moore, lead vocalist (and ring leader) of that most excellent rabble Crazy P will also be adding a touch of glamour to proceedings, arriving fresh from a summer of festivals and sell-out headline shows. Danni's party spirit tends to rub off on all those within a 100-yard radius.

Reverso 68

Pete Herbert and Phil Mison - aka Reverso 68 - will be laying down everything from sunshine grooves to stomping disco as they take things from day to night. Pete's a man of many a bassline, regularly cranking out ridiculously catchy records, either with Phil as Reverso, or with Baby G as LSB. Meanwhile, Phil's credentials as a sunset resident at Cafe Del Mar and as the man behind Cantoma means he knows a thing or two about setting a mood.

Discobox, the OffKeyHat and Toru aka The Hackney Players Association

East End party people Andy Newcombe (Discobox), Leon Mayes (the OffKeyHat) and Toru (the man behind the counter at Vinyl Junkies) have rocked many a party over the years under the guise of The Hackney Players Association.

The Cosmic Truth

The Cosmic Truth are Nicholas L Balfe and Dickie Chaytor, DJs, promoters and innovators of the resurgent London disco sound.

As well as rocking their own parties from lofts to lock ups, basements to beer gardens, they've also caused chaos on discerning dance floors in London, across the UK, and beyond, including Disco Bloodbath, Secretsundaze, Bestival, Mirage Berlin and Electric Elephant in Croatia.

August 23rd

Phonica Records Presents ‘Its not all minimal’

The staff of London’s finest vinyl emporium have dug deep to give us some soul, reggae, disco and house, showing that there’s more behind that counter than the latest german bleepy stuff.
