Cookery demonstrations by celebrity chef Terry Tan Top

We are thrilled to have Terry Tan as this year¹s celebrity chef. Terry has been tempting the tastebuds of Asian food devotees for 40 years as a chef and author of more than 20 cookbooks.

Equally as adept at whipping up delicacies from Indonesia as he is with spicy Singaporean food, his decades of stirring the wok and globe-trotting have earned him the reputation of being Mr South-East Asian Cuisine in Europe.

A man of many talents (as if cooking the way he does isn't talent enough!), Terry also teaches around the UK, helped HP Foods develop the extremely popular Amoy 'Straight to Wok' sachet sauces as well as working on development for other major food brands, AND wrote the now classic book Culture Shock! Britain. Phew! It¹s tiring just reading about his many ventures!

Well, I know we're looking forward to seeing just how he does it all at the Tiger Beer Singapore Chilli Crab Festival make sure you also head down to catch Terry's cooking demonstrations over the weekend. "I am looking forward to being involved with the Chilli Crab Festival again because it is a great opportunity to serve the British public great Singapore food; perfect to go with the iconic brew of Tiger Beer."

Singaporean music from Leonard Ng Top

Not content with bringing you authentic Singaporean food, cooking, and beer, the Tiger Beer Singapore Chilli Crab Festival is also adding authentic Singaporean music to the mix courtesy of London-based Leonard Ng.

Leonard Ng, or Len as he prefers to be called ("I'm tired of telling people how to pronounce my last name"), will be wowing the crowds in Brick Lane on both days of the festival.

Born in Singapore, Len is a singer/songwriter/guitarist/pianist/bassist and occasional producer. After becoming a regular on the Singapore music scene, he ended up travelling extensively around the world, playing music, writing and teaching to fund his travels. Eventually he found himself in London where he has made music ever since.

Len's music covers a lot of ground, from fluttery beats to all out guitar-based rock, but he readily admits that he is quite obsessed with "that perfect structure" for his songs.

So make sure you catch him at the Tiger Beer Singapore Chilli Crab Festival where he¹ll be performing his unique music throughout the day.

Magic show Top
There is magic everywhere around us... at the Tiger Beer Singapore Chilli Crab Festival!

By pure definition, magic is the art that ostensibly controls or forecasts natural events, effects, or forces by invoking the paranormal. It is also the practice of using known charms, spells, incantations, or rituals to attempt to produce supernatural effects, maybe even control events in nature. Some will say it is the art of producing mysterious effects through illusion and slight of hand in other words abracadabra, it¹s magic!

Beyond Asia, the magic found in our favourite fiction, you will find magic in gaming, the movies, card games, basketball, even in cryptography.
